UGGG So not only does my dog have fleas, my kitchen has ants...
SO PESKY!!!
I have been searching for non-toxic ways to rid the house/dog of fleas... don't want to hurt K or the dog in the process of de-fleaing...
In the mean time I have used a powder on the carpet and a spray on the dog (just today) we also shampoo her but they keep coming back the frontline and flea colors are not working.. This stuff stinks I literally have a headache...
And the ants, K noticed them on the back door a couple days ago.. I sprayed antibacterial spray and they were gone.. to only appear on my kitchen counter.. I can't figure out where they are coming from.. they are tiny tiny ants.. I go in and spray every hour or so.. and kill the ones I see.. I AM SO READY TO MOVE! lol
Happy Monday all..
Tips on getting rid of these pesky critters welcome :)

I don't know about wher eyou live, but our vet said here that you have to really stay on top of the fleas. You get rid of them, and then you HAVE to keep treating the dog, even as often as every 3 weeks. Otherwise they'll keep coming back. we switched to K9 advantix and it worked a lot better for us. That said... I've totally let it slide and he has fleas again. sigh.
ReplyDeleteWe might have to switch to K-9 Advantix... We live on the East Coast and the sand fleas are awful.. when we lived in Louisiana we didn't have to worry about them at all.. but here our dog only goes out to potty or occasional walks and we have fleas uggg... lol
ReplyDeleteUgh, that sucks. I don't have any good advice for you, other than make sure you're treating your dog constantly...there was also something I picked up at the pet store a couple years ago back when we had a huge TICK (soooo gross!!!!) invasion, and I think it was for fleas and ticks both. It was something you put on your floors and furniture and stuff to kill them. Icky but it worked, and wasn't toxic to the dogs and cats.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I am a new follower from MBC and I would love for you to come visit me at http://www.createyourtraditions.com. :)
