I posted last week about wanting to loose weight and being frustrated that I gained a few pounds over Thanksgiving. Don't we all usually though. Now that Thanksgiving is over, we will be cooking basically the same stuff for Christmas. K and I have already started baking. Yesterday we made Christmas cookies.
I am proud to say I am back to my "pre-thanksgiving" weight. I have been running. I run 5 to 5.5 miles 3 times a week. That is my goal. I did it last week. Today it was too cold to run outside so I did my treadmill. I loath the treadmill and could only make myself do 2.5 miles in 30 min.. that is half my workout. I usually go for at least an hour. I guess I need to do something tomorrow (one of my normal non-workout days). And make myself run in the cold on Wednesday!
I did go grocery shopping today. I loath grocery shopping so I have it down to only have to go get the bulk of the stuff once a month. Stuff like meat, frozen veggies, bread, dry goods and stuff like that. Today was the big day. I usually have to go back at least one time during the month to get perishable stuff, like milk, eggs, veggies and fruits. We have a big freezer so I can buy stuff that can be frozen and keep in there until we need it. Since I am known to forget to thaw stuff out until it's too late. I also have started taking 3 packs of meat out on Sunday's. That usually gets us through the week.
Since it was my big grocery trip. I also go some stuff I would need for our Christmas dinner, all of our baking needs and of course meat, veggies ect. I spent $442. WOW it sounds like a lot but if you break it down that is only $110 a week and $15 a day. Not bad, considering I got 2 packages of ribeyes with my meat. I didn't get and fish because the fish counter wasn't open yet, but I will have to go back for perishables as I said before that will be no more than $100, probably not even that since I stocked up on cheese too. I also had to get dog food.
This is my first chance to sit down and collect my thoughts today. I did have about an hour this morning, but I used that time reading y'alls blogs and drinking my coffee. This has been a busy Monday.
Happy Monday everyone

At least you are back down to your pre-Thanksgiving weight. If you keep up your running, you can enjoy Christmas goodies and then continue your weight-loss after the holidays.
